PM Modi declares August 7 as National Handloom Day to mark Swadeshi movement.

To commemorate the 1905 Swadeshi movement the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced August 7 as ‘National Handloom Day’ at the function held in Chennai. At the event PM Modi also launched the ‘India Handloom’ brand to help weavers with brand for global markets.

Rajasthan signs MoUs for Rs 2,452-cr investments at the investment meet in New Delhi.

Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth 2,452 crore rupees at an investor event organised in New Delhi.

Egypt launches Suez Canal expansion

Egypt has launched a major expansion of the Suez Canal. It was inaugurated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in a lavish ceremony held at port city of Ismailiya ( located on west bank of canal).

Two films namely ‘Masaan’ and ‘Jaanisaar’ made tax free in the State of Uttar Pradesh on 04th August 2015 as approved by State Cabinet.


India signed an agreement with Mozambique

India signed an agreement with Mozambique on 05th August 2015 with the aim to boost ties in Renewable Energy Sector. The President of Mozamique is Filipe Nyusi.

The scheme namely ‘Thari Pension Thare Pass’ launched by the State Government of Haryana on 04th August 2015 as the ceremony attended by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
