Three-member Achary panel recommended 400% hike in basic salary of Delhi MLAs

A three-member committee chaired by PDT Achary, former Secretary General of the Lok Sabha, on 6 October 2015 submitted its report on MLAs’ salary packages to Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel. The other two members were KV Prasad and Balraj Malik.

Department of Biotechnology tied-up with Prakash Lab

McDonald and Takaaki Kajita shared 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics

Japan’s Takaaki Kajita and American Arthur B. McDonald on 6 October 2015 jointly won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics for their discovery of neutrino oscillations, which shows that neutrinos have mass. Takaaki Kajita belongs to the University of Tokyo while McDonald is from Queen’s University, Canada.

GAIL has 10% stake in TAPI project

In Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India (TAPI) natural gas pipeline project, Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL) has 10% stake as announced on 04th October 2015.
