The Lausanne-based Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS), the top tribunal of international sports, allowed Indian sprinter Dutee Chand to run in the World Championships in London starting from August 4, 2017. Allowing Dutee’s participation, it also suspended the Hyperandrogenism Policy of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), which had barred her from competition, by another two months. The policy bars female athletes who produced natural testosterone (male hormones) above permissible range from taking part in competitions.
