The US President Donald Trump awarded Honour of Medal to Army medic James McCloughan. With this, he became the first Medal of Honour recipient under President Trump. He was given the award 48 years later for his selfless acts of saving wounded soldiers during a Vietnam War battle despite his own serious wounds. Drafted into the Army, McCloughan was a 23-year-old private first class and medic who in 1969 found himself in the middle of the raging Battle of Nui Yon Hill.
