The National Agriculture Development Programme (NADP) has approved a proposal of setting up blood bank for cattle in Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.25 crore. The proposal was made by Vice-Chancellor of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) Surendra Nath Pasupalak. Post-approval by the State Government, Odisha will become the first state in the country to have a blood bank for cattle.
